Northeast electric was founded in 2010 and over the next decade grew organically into a team of talented electricians with diverse backgrounds. In 2020 the company was purchased by Portland Maine based Gowen Power Systems, the oldest and largest backup power installation and maintenance company in Southern Maine. Under its new ownership Northeast has renewed its commitment to customer focus and quality workmanship in its core electrical contracting business. It has also expanded its clean power capabilities with specially trained technicians, leveraging the synergies created by the Gowen Power Systems capabilities and huge customer base.
